Mayur Srivastava born on 30th of October in 1983 is an Indian chef, restaurateur based in Taipei, Taiwan. Mayur used to be an Indian Master chef for numerous star hotels like Taj, Radisson, Marriott's, Westin etc. for many years, but in the winter of November 2011, the young chef took courage to be an Indian entrepreneur in Taipei, Taiwan where he hardly knew about the local language, culture or market. He started his business on small take-away shop ('dhaba' in hindi language) in Shilin night market followed by the chain of Indian restaurants in Taiwan known as Mayur Indian Kitchen(MIK). Now in 2015, Mayur is quite familiar name in the hospitality industry of Taipei, Taiwan. Mayur Indian Kitchen are doing very well & known for authentic Indian cuisine with delicate use of spices and dining in an elegant settings. Mayur Indian Kitchen (MiK) has been covered by many bloggers, critics, food lovers, leading newspapers and tv channels of Taiwan for its contemporary Indian cuisine.Mayur's authentic Indian cuisine surprised many bloggers, critics and media houses. Mayur was born in New Delhi in India and began his cooking career at Taj group of hotels in 2001, he did his hotel management from Delhi Institute of Hotel Management, New Delhi. In his culinary career, Mayur got big break through in 2002 & got selected in the culinary team of famous Indian restaurant chain by Carlson group of hotels named as "The Great kebab factory".

In 2004 Mayur first moved to Chennai to Dubai to Sydney to Hong kong to Taipei during his culinary journey started from New Delhi, India. In the beginning of his career Mayur came out from poor-middle class family, almost 2 years of struggle & hard work at Shilin night market Taipei, in 2011, he opened his first Mayur Indian Kitchen restaurant on the pavement of keelung road in Xinyi district area, followed by the Mayur Indian Kitchen (MIK-2) on Ming sheng east road in 2012, Mayur Indian Kitchen (MIK-3) on Xin sheng north road in 2014, Mayur Indian Kitchen (MIK-4) on Tonghua street in 2015. Only at Mayur Indian Kitchen you can find out diversity of Indian food as they offer all the major regional Indian dishes from North to South and East to West of India. Consecutively, in 2014 & also in 2015 Mayur claimed the best Indian restaurant in Taipei on Tripadvisor and social media. Mayur Indian Kithen also offers one of the best selected wines, beer and other alcohols in its bar menu. Mayur oftenly holds private cooking classes for the diners and guests where they can join with him.
